The University of North Carolina - Wilmington

Wilmington is a much better school than it's reputation suggests. I have nothing but positive things to say about my instructors. The student body is mostly middle and upper middle-class kids, mostly white, overwhelmingly Christian and somewhat trendy(i.e. abercrombie clothes, JEEP Cherokees, Dave Matthews Band). There is however a large surfer/hippie contingent on campus who marches to their own tune. Fraternities aren't too much of a nuisance since they are off campus. The campus is pretty dead on weekends but when the beach is 5 minutes away who cares? I never felt bored. Most students live off campus and that's where most of the parties are. Basketball season is pretty big here since our team is pretty good. It gives people something to talk about.
