I had heard people refer to UTSA as a “factory” before I attended, I wish I had listened You need an ID card for everything you are only a number, even to your teachers.

The worst part of the school has to be the incompetent staff. No one can actually do anything, you need to talk to at least five different people (in five different buildings, with five different appointments) to get anything done. Everything is ridiculously complicated. For example: you have to pay or sign up for everything online, wait a designated amount of time, then go sign for it or pick it up at the school, at which time they will send you through numerous lines and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

They are also constantly writing new programs for their website which put unexplainable, impenetrable holds on your records for reasons no one at the school can explain. These holds also take at least three different people to remove because they are all codes that not even the advisors understand.

I hear people complaining about how this school has no social life but it is quite simple really, everyone has spent so much time in endless lines and haggling over mistyped grades that they want to leave as quickly as possible.
