Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Just as any University campus would have, there are positive expeariences with teachers and negative. There are fellow students who feel equal and those who feel superior. The old saying, you get out of it what you put into it is very applicable. The biggest gripe I have with BSU is that they are claiming they must make more cuts to the English department and Liberal Arts in general. However, they are simultaneously providing more money for a bigger football field, new turf, more seating, etc. The University is following the path of many Universities and placing the priority on sports rather than the quality of education. This is why I say I would leave given the chance. Half the classes in the catalog each year under the English heading are never taught due to budget and staffing cuts. I hope this situation will improve soon.
