UGA is really what you want to make of it. If you can take the initiative, you will find everything you could expect from a college and more. The choice is yours to make. You can either sit in the back of the class, stay in your dorm room, and not join any organizations or you can go to office hours, meet new people, and get involved with tons of clubs. UGA's honors program excels in opening doors to new and different opportunities that really help make a large campus smaller and friendlier while providing an extremely high quality of education if you so choose. Scholarship students get REALLY nice perks and the honors dorm fosters a real intellectual environment for first-year students. Of course, football and sports reign supreme on weekends but again you can just sell your ticket if you're not interested and party instead. If you're looking for a relatively laid-back school with all the options one could ask for, then you'll find UGA, like I have, to be the an excellent educational deal and much more enjoyable than other unversities.
