Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
WVU is a good school especially if you're in-state. You will get a better than average education for a very good price. my only down side to the classes is that most of the entry level classes, the 100 level stuff in most any department, but English most of all gives lots of what I would consider busy work. It's boring and frustrating to do the same things you learned in high school, but it's an easy A and once you get to the higher level classes, things pick up and are more interesting. Nearly all of the professors I've had were very open and approachable. they were easy to talk to and tried to work with any student with problems to try to help them out.The social life in Morgantown is a bit lop-sided. To give them credit, the University does try with movies and but when there are nearly 40 bars within the mile-and-a-half area around campus and dozens of house parties alcohol factors strongly into most any after-school activity. That's not to say there aren't other things to do, you just have to look for them. Overall, WVU-Morgantown is a good college for both the degree and the "college experience," but by the end of it you'll be ready for something else.
