Coming here was like a breath of fresh air compared to the last school I attended. The faculty and staff are friendly, really approachable, and very helpful. The social life does feel a bit like high school because it's such a small campus. I can't very well deny that it tends to get a bit cliquish sometimes. However, since you tend to run into the same people over and over again, you normally have multiple chances at getting somewhat involved in any given clique. People sometimes gripe about there being nothing to do in Spartanburg, but there is if you look around a bit. I very much appreciate that when I hear "Academics come first here," I actually believe it.
