Purdue University is the best college I have ever seen. I was excited about college, but never thought I'd be as happy as I am at Purdue. I absolutely love it there! As soon as I got there, I was greeted friendly by the fellow students and staff. I wasn't used to such kindness and attention. The Boiler Gold Rush orientation was amazing, and I'm still friends with all the people in my orientation group. It was very helpful. The surroundings were great as well. I thought it would be corn fields everywhere but it wasn't. Sure once you drive way out into Indiana they have farms, but not right at Purdue. It has a pretty cool city, Lafayette, which has tons of stores and restaurants. The atmosphere at Purdue is great as well. Everyone has a strong sense of pride about their college Purdue and it's very easy to make friends. There are so many extra-curricular activities too! I must have signed up for at least ten different clubs and sports the first week there. There is always stuff happening on the campus and there is never a dull moment. Even it you can't do anything outside, the dorms are more than cool enough. The people are very friendly, smart, and cool to talk to. It's not like high school at all. People aren't segregated by "social status" or "ethnicity." Everyone is friends with each other it seems. I can't say enough about Purdue. The dining halls are AMAZING! I love the food, it's really good. They have all sorts of types of food as well. They have Asian food, Mexican food, all sorts. Classes are good, some are hard, but always challenging and you learn a lot. I've learned so much in just one year. Every employer I've talked to thinks very highly of Purdue. Most think Purdue is an Ivy League. Among these employers I'm talking about are Microsoft, EA Games, Boeing, Raytheon, etc; big names! I can go on forever; Purdue is the best college in my eyes. I don't see how anyone can say anything bad about the college. I refused an Ivy League for Purdue and couldn't be happier! Purdue is the best! Go Boilermakers!
