Note that I graduated in 1981. My internship at local TV stations led to getting a paid job after graduation, and to the career I've now had for 26 years. The BECA Department gave a "broad" view of the Industry, which may be a little outdated. Still, it provides the aesthetics which are the backbone for TV/Film/Audio directing, writing and producing. I'm not sure how current the technical equipment is there now, but in 1980 it was out-dated. Overall, I'm happy I got my BA at SFSU, but I sometimes regret not going to a more prestigious program, like at USC or UCLA.
