I guarantee you feel this way BECAUSE your social life is at a level D-. There are actually a lot of students that are most likely to be as bright as you (claim to be) if not brighter, AND have a social life at the level "A". Do you know what a "Hater" is? Well, when you happen to decipher the term, that is exactly what you are. You are a HATER because you were only able to make ONE FRIEND in the course of one semester. It's alright, nerds usually turn out this way. If only you can have book smarts AND friends .. oh well .. maybe NEXT TIME! |
To the peroson who responded before me, It's not about if the person is a "nerd", it's about the people who are there with the same likes as him/her. And in my opinion, people who use words as "hater" or "nerd" has no right to be in college because it gives the elite a bad name. But back to the topic, In my old college My social life wasn't as great as I had thought it would have been. There was hardly anyone there with my interest and so I saw the place as boring. Since I changed schools my social life has been way better than I thought it would have. |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I hate this school. And these are my reasons…as an international student moving to New York, I obviously didnt expect to attend a huge college set on a huge campus…but this is ridiculous…first of all, the students. evryone acts straight from high school, and more importantly, joined Lehman with their friends from high school, so if ur hoping for a social life, forget it. school sports only exist in the basketball and swimming areas (sucks for soccer fans like me) the campus is small and beautiful and the teachers are really nice, they give it their all but its just the students that piss me off…everyone's on financial aid so they're not really paying a lot and thus do not appreciate the value of a good college education. no one takes advantage of the facilities and clubs…school spirit is again, lacking. I feel like a ghost, going into class, leaving class to go home…that's pretty much it. it's been a whole semester and I can honestly say i've made one friend who i'd like to hang out with outside school. if you're low on fees and are considering this school, forget it and go to hunter(heard it's better, and atleast has dorms) or go to one of the SUNY schools…way worth it.
