Clark was really a good choice for me, and I look back on my college years very fondly. I was coming off of a difficult high school experience in which I felt very isolated. I very much appreciated Clark's sense of warmth and openness, and it turned out to be the best social experience that I had up to that point in my life.As a previous poster noted, it is not a school for everyone. It can get quiet at times around campus, and I remember more than a few lazy afternoons. However, I usually had friends around to spend time with, even if that time was spent just sitting around a dorm and talking. Those who need more organized social structure may find themselves bored, and would probably do better at a larger school.Academics are strong. I had come from a very demanding high school, and I was a bit worn out academically by the time I got to Clark, and I regret not taking more advantage of academic offerings. I was, however, very impressed by the amount of individual attention that profs gave to students.I thought that Clark was wonderful for me as a sensitive young person who needed a supportive environment at that point in my life.
