I am a transfer student from FIU.I transfered to FGCU to get away from the huge classes and chaos of a huge student body. FGCU is terrific for someone that likes enough studeny body to have a social life, but not to where there are chaotic amounts of people everywhere all the time. The classes are smaller and more intimate and I find the teachers to be more understandable (in terms of accent) and enlightening. At FIU it was all about just doing the work and pushing it through. Here the teachers expect your best and discuss ways in which you can improve. The campus is beautiful and I love the natural setting. The school is very environmentally friendly. While there may not be enough parking, they are working on it. I would say that my biggest complaint is the parking.
