I made the biggest mistake of my life coming here. As other posters have said, funding that should go to the average students and teachers is diverted to the athletics department in such a disproportionate amount that nothing is left for helping the average student. Parking is an absolute mess unless you live on campus or nearby (but who would want to live nearby with all of the crack houses of central Louisville?)—so yes, it is definitely a commuter school.

Save your money. This place has hiked its tuition higher than any other public university in Kentucky, and all of it is to pay for the athletics department. The leftover pocket change just isn't enough to promote things to help the mainline students or faculty by renovating the dilapidated buildings or employing more English-speaking instructors and TAs.

This is my first, and last, year at this excuse of an educational institution. I feel almost cheated that my family spent money to send me here and I dont have any positive memories or better career training to show for it.
