If your into your studies and just want to get college out of the way then come to mason. The classes are ok and the campus is nice, but if you want to have the whole college experience then don't come here. Mason by far has one of the worst social atmospheres imaginable. Unless your in a frat or sorority you wont be doing much on the weekends, and even then the parties are lame excuses for what a college party should be like. The frats are exclusive and don't let anyone in unless you have a vagina and even then, having to call everyone in your phonebook just for 1 party is pointless in itself. DC is not "just a few minutes away" and its a hassle getting there to. The city of Fairfax makes no attempt of catering to the students and there is little to do around the city, the cops in and around campus try there best to stop any fun going around. If you decide to say "oh well" and drink in the dorms you'll still be under the constant supervision of RA's whose greatest desire is to find people with alcohol. This is a huge commuter school and everyone leaves for the weekend.Pretty soon you'll find yourself saying you had more fun in highschool than in this school. PLEASE read this…if you want a good time and a real college then Mason is not the place for you…Go somewhere else PLEASE.
