Date: Jan 09 2008 Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time) I feel that what a student gets out of a college experience depends entirely upon what effort they put forth. If a student does not like their institution it is typically because they could not, or would not meet the standards set by that institution. While at ORU I gained knowledge, friendship, and the ability to grow personally. All of these elements are needed for success once a student graduates. I wish I had spent more time invested in the internship opportunities that were offered by my major. I believe that real world work experience would have helped me gain confidence prior to graduating. The social atmosphere was perfect. There was plenty to do and I rarely felt alone. One element that ORU offers that many other schools do not is the spiritual environment. I appreciated the different perspectives of students with religious experiences that differed from my own. Overall, I felt that I was on the same page with the majority of students at ORU. I would recommend ORU to students who desire the spiritual element, for it is the most distinctive element of attending the school. In fact, students without a desire to attend a Christian university might want to visit the campus before making a decision to attend.
