My education at SSC successfully prepared me for graduate school in my degree field. Other graduate students in my department went to more "prestigious" colleges/universities and are jealous to hear of the personal attention that I received as an undergraduate, and how much less money I owe for the same education. See they went to larger schools with graduate programs and in that sense the undergrads were in priority behind the graduate students. In my major at SSC we didn't have graduate students to take away any attention from faculty.

If back when I was at SSC I knew what I know now, I would've not wasted so much time fretting over "boring" courses and faculty (except my Chem professor - hope they fired him). It's the same at any other college but at those colleges they charge you more. SSC definitely has its share of problems, old campus, widely scattered building, lack of enough clubs/activities but in reality you get what you pay for. My campus is nice and new and so are the fees for students, increased every semester, to pay for all those "updates" and "revitalization projects."

I lived on-campus for the majority of my time at SSC and the social life left a lot to be desired. It would have been nice to have had a larger number of students living on campus and also if there were more extracurricular activities. But SSC was a great value for the money! I took the initiative to get a solid education at SSC and it worked. I went on to a great graduate school and received my MS and now I'm almost finished with my PhD.
