My biggest worry with coming to Case was the total lack of social life. For me, its the ideal balance. I can go out with my friends, meet new people, and have a damn good time most weekend nights. However, if I need to stay in and get work done its entirely acceptable to do that too. Greek Life is your best chance to get a social life around here. As a girl, I joined a sorority, but I was good friends and well accepted at most of the larger frats on campus, which is the reason I was able to go out and have good time long before I rushed. Its all about finding connections to party, they ARE there. A side note on greek life, its different here. Another poster suggested that certain fraternities are all about binge drinking date rape and drug deals (ZBT & FIJI), I beg to differ. That's a preconceived notion that many people have due to rumor. I have excellent friends in both fraternities, and I trust them completely. Take it from someone who would know, the greeks on this campus are some of the best kids in Cleveland. I never thought I would join a sorority, but it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. That said, I've met some of the coolest people I've ever met here. Everyone has something particularly interesting about them. I know a national champion sailor, a published 18 year old oncology researcher , an elite gymnast, junior olympic fencer, kids with summer homes in the hamptons, and average kids trying to make it by. Its an incredibly diverse place, my friends are from cleveland, arizona, india, japan, south africa, ghana, pakistan, palestine…The quality of people here is excellent. We're all driven, focused, and smart. There isn't a single person you can't have an intelligent conversation with, something I really value. I came to case to please my parents. I've filled out transfer applications, but now I can't picture myself anywhere else.So if you're a party kid looking for a party school, look elsewhere. If you're smart, driven, and want a strong academic school but still like to have fun, then Case could be the right choice for you.
