Major: Industrial Design (This Major's Salary over time)
My experience at the University of Cincinnati has been an interesting one. this is really just about the design part of DAAP, particularly industrial design.

I am in a program ranked second nationally (Industrial Design), and the main reason why is cooperative education. The jobs offered each quarter to industrial designers are from countless places, including big name companies and some smaller firms that are usually quite "cutting edge" for lack of a better word.

In DAAP, I have had mixed experiences with professors. Professors are incredibly subjective, it is art, I suppose this may be expected, but be prepared. If a professor does not like you or your style, you probably will not be getting an A in the class. Most professors have favorites, but some seem quite fair. I believe McCrystle Wood was one of the best professors my foundation year, and her classes have been incredibly valuable to me.

Industrial Design is a good major that is fairly well organized and has a really good direction. The professors are decent, some better than others. I take 18 credit hours each quarter with no issue. I still have time for a run almost every day.

In terms of design, the graphic and fashion majors are also excellent. Fashion students have access to great co-ops, and their projects are always related to fashion. My friends in fashion have had great co-ops and genuinely seem to enjoy their major. Graphic students have a decent schedule, but I unfortunately do not know much else. If you are looking at digital design, I would consider another college especially if you want to go into 3D modeling or animation. Digital design is a messy major that requires quite literally all of your time. You have to be truly dedicated to work and your future to be in this major.

And get into honors if you can - honors classes are a lot better and have the best professors.
