MSOE is a school that teaches practical knowledge and skill, so theory is taught alongside application. Assignments are abundant and often time-consuming. To succeed, students will often require help from professors, classmates, or tutors. Most students are male, which can have benefits and drawbacks for either gender (for example, as I'm a male student, girls are not a distraction for me). Many students seem quiet and keep to themselves. There is a very nice athletic facility for students to use and anyone can start up a new club rather easily. There are many ways to get connected and involved.
