Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
You'll hear a lot of the popular sentiment that "There's nothing to do at Oakland." Don't believe it! There are a lot of great organizations to get involved with, and plenty of fun events to attend. Just keep your eyes open. Sure, the school is mostly commuters, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of social life at OU. Anyone that says that just isn't trying to begin with. OU continues to grow every year, and there are more opportunities all the time. Academically, I'm happy with OU. I'm an elementary education major, and our program was recently ranked #1 in Michigan. I agree that it's a good program…class sizes are small, and I've found professors to be very accessible and helpful. We might not have a football team, but there's still plenty of great athletics. If you want to experience OU spirit at its best, come to a basketball game! I'm not even a huge basketball fan, but I love the games!
