USAFA is a truly transformative and positive experience. The price of this is that it is TOUGH. The 4 years there are taxing and exhausting and pushed me to the limit in just about every way. But the payoff is huge. Joining the AF as an Officer is fantastic. Flying jets is the last great adventure on the planet and prepared me well. My experience after the Air Force was that both employers and graduate schools were very taken with the experience and seriousness of an Academy grad. While it was a very difficult road, and certainly not for everyone, if you have it in you, the payoff is huge.
