The surrounding city around Case is not at all bad. If you look at some of the buildings outside the campus area, you might think the city were a bit run down and “dangerous. But this is due more to the city having lost a couple hundred thousand residents over the past few decades rather than anything else. Less residents = less existing property maintenance capability, not more dangerous.

All in all, what really matters are the people and I can personally attest that the people in Cleveland are WAY friendlier than the average person from So-Cal.
