The Wentworth Institute of Technology

I have attended Wentworth Institute of Technology for my 1st year in college and it has been the worse experience in my life. Sigh I have no idea where to start.

Guess Ill start with the programs IT IS HOOOOORRRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Im majoring in computer science and their department is a joke. My CS professors did have knowledge of their subject however they can hardly teach for sh**. Everyone in my class was struggling because they either had to attempt to teach themselves or get an appointment with a tutor. The professor did not care whether you learn the material or not, they just throw up their PowerPoint presentations and just rant on and on and they will not slow down for you. So that is why you are on your own. For freshman CS students they give you a useless course called “Introduction to Computing and Problem Solving, basically its just to show you how computers “work which is just a baby course. What a waste. These programs are not well rounded and I doubt it will prepare you for your career. The professors come late most of the time and its not just the CS professors.

Most of the students here think they are smart but in reality they are not. They try to be bright but unfortunately they fail. But anyway the students here are nice and you will make some good friends here. However they also feel the same way as I do about this school. It is bad.

The buildings are almost falling apart. Floors are cracked and the exterior of the buildings are really old. The labs are outdated and the library are atrocious. Also the elevators are dirty and in bad shape. The gym is really small and do not have enough equipment. Just take a tour there and you will know what Im talking about. They only have three tennis courts and it is IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAMPUS! The campus is very small, hardly anything to do here fortunately Wentworth is in Boston so there are stuff to do off- campus. Im so glad I did not waste $9000+ more to live in the dorms because I have heard bad things from my friends that live there. Drinking is very strict there and even if you are at a place with beer and all you did was just be there and drink nothing then you are in trouble when the campus police come.

The food here is awful. Dont even think about eating on campus so just go eat somewhere else. The food is disgusting and overly priced.

Being in this school is just plain boring and depressing. I am so ashamed of coming to this school that I never bother telling people that I went there. If you plan on coming here DONT! Im glad Im going to a better school which will give me a better future than Wentworth..
