The college itself is a great place. It's pretty, great professors, pretty friendly people… however, there is nothing to do especially on the weekends. You can either study or party at Umass, basically. South Hadley is a small town, if you can even call it a town, and nothing is open past 8. The bus system is horrible, it takes an hour just to get to Umass. So you're pretty much stuck here. Lots of people leave on the weekends. If I wasn't able to go home every other weekend I'd be depressed. I am transferring soon. For some people Mt Holyoke is great, but if you want a place where you want a social life, don't go here.
