Major: Language - French/Spanish/etc. (This Major's Salary over time)
I came here originally to study Zoology or Marine Biology - couldn't get into the early classes because I was a freshman, wound up switching to European languages. The faculty is helpful, but far too many teachers speak English as a first language, and the classes are designed to be easy - not to teach the language—I see people graduate with a degree in Spanish who can't speak it to save their lives. Some programs here are good - marine biology, Japanese, international business, meteorology. If you're coming here for anything else, don't expect a brilliant education.
