JMU is the friendliest place I have ever been. But it lacks diversity. I believe that amount of black people on campus is 4%. And it seems like all of them come from Richmond, VA [Southside]. The only cute black guys are the athletes and they are all whores. I have two semesters left here and I am so elated! I am bored with Harrisonburg and all the wackness it entails. If I had the balls to, I would have transferred. Academically, however, this school is great and I better be able to get into a good grad program because of it. However, I definitely am looking at grad schools with more than 1,000 black people and it definitely has to be the city.

Why didn't you just go to a black college then? I'm sure Howard or Hampton U would have been right up your alley. It's Harrisonburg so what did you expect? Besides no highly ranked school has a large population of black kids anyway.

I don't know. I didn't think about diversity before, I was just thinking about a good academic school that was far but close enough to my home. I'm thinking about going to UGA for grad school but I feel like it's going to be just like JMU but I mean, atleast it'll be near Atl and all of the HBCUs in Ga.
