Date: Apr 03 2009 Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time) At the time, I was like a lot of my undergrad friends; we complained that the parties weren't what they were at other schools, everyone was a dork, the food wasn't the best, the teachers couldn't speak English etc. etc. All were valid points to varying degrees, but after being out in the real world for a few years, I'm glad that I stuck it out. As an undergrad, I wasn't looking as hard as I should have for internships, preferring instead to spend my last few "free" summers in life with my friends and doing mindless jobs. Well, the career office ended up contacting me and telling me that an employer in my area was looking for a Math major. This was surprising, as I had never set foot in the career office up to that point. I went for the interview, got the job, and ended up staying on after graduation…I still work there to this day. There have been a few times where I've pondered my path in life and submitted resumes or gone for interviews, and consistently I heard positive comments from employers about the school and its reputation. If you're looking for crazy frat parties, campus is definitely not the place to be. If you want a good future, I think it's a great place. If you want both…visit other schools or the city on weekends!
