UT offers a great undergrad experience which I believe is one of the top in the nation.  I enjoyed my time there because there was so much to do, people to meet, activities, etc.  The combination of academics, activities, and social attractions makes it one of the truly great “big universities” out there.

As a business undergrad alum, I can say the McCombs School of Business is an outstanding program and top 10 in the nation at the undergrad level.  Both the academics and career center are top notch and I can easily say unmatched in the state of Texas.  It VERY well prepared me for both internships and my post-graduation position.  The career center provided the resources to help me secure several well paying full time job offers even in a very tough economy.

Outside of school, Austin is a great town with a large student population in the campus area.  The diversity of students, party atmosphere, and great weather made for a great four years outside of the classroom.

Overall, UT is an excellent value and experience.  It does have some of the downsides of a large school, but the upsides are tremendous.  I will never forget my years in Austin and encourage you to strongly consider UT.
