This is a fall back school or some sort of last resort.for everyone. No one wants to be at FMU. The campus is far from downtown, which is not much of a downtown anyway. Except for the limited number of students who live on campus or the neighboring appartments, everyone has to drive. Because of crime walking and biking are not much of options. The administration of FMU and the city of Florence don't do anything to prevent crime but they do a good job hiding it. So if you complain about it, you will be treated like a troublemaker. I read in StudentsReview that few women were raped and nothing happened to the perpetrators. I know a man was raped by two other guys in the bathroom. The staff and the professors at FMU are totally incompetent. Among other negative aspects of this school, the bathrooms always tainted with blood and horrible smells.
