Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I am currently a senior at Regis College, and have had both positive and negative experiences throughout the years. The campus is rather small, and professors know you by your name, not just a number. Most of the people on campus are friendly; however, the quality of students admitted to the school in the past two years has decreased. Another negative aspect of Regis is that programs in departments tend to be fairly small, and some of the faculty have not been helpful to their students. Faculty and staff talk up their academic support services, and how helpful they are when, in fact, they are lacking in many areas. I had to obtain my own internship without the help of my advisor or career services. I realize that one of the experiences of going to college is learning to do things on your own, but be prepared to do pretty much everything on your own in this case. For the most part, faculty are very good about getting in touch with you if you send them an e-mail or leave a voicemail. Most importantly, if you are looking at one of the programs at Regis that is fairly small, be sure to do the research and ask the right questions before committing. Although the program may be small and you think you will be getting one-on-one time with your advisor, you may be wrong. However, this depends on the major.Be sure to ask the right questions before deciding to attend Regis College. Once I came to the school, there were many things that I found out the hard way that were not mentioned during open houses or tours. If I had a chance to do it again, I would most likely not have chosen Regis.
