UMD was well worth my time and money - for a growing uni, there is a great selection of courses, and knowledgeable faculty. It is a commuter college, and with that, you have to remember the social life will be different - but there are many student orgs as well as evening lectures, events, and shows, as well as a great deal of nearby restaurants and bars in a fairly safe city.
