I would strongly, strongly recommend Hamilton to any student looking for a fexible, tailored approach to education. Hamilton was a life-changing experience for me—I can say wit 100% seriousness that I would not be the same person I am today if I had not spent four years on the Hill.

Hamilton will teach you to write correctly, speak persuasively, and think critically—three skills that will serve you well in whatever careers you choose. The academic and intellectual caliber of this school is, quite simply, unparalleled.

As far as social life, be prepared for a bit of a culture shock if you haven't grown up around wealthy people. Thankfully, diversity is ever-increasing and has been marked as a goal for the College for future recruitment, so there is hope for future improvement. I do have to say, though, that there were moments where I sat back and wondered if there was anyone on campus who actually had a real-world perspective free from a disgusting sense of entitlement and privilege.

That said, you will nevertheless meet some wonderful people during your time at Hamilton. One of my best friends in the world was my randomly-assigned freshman year roommate!

As for the faculty—they really do a wonderful job in creating a sense of community (not to mention that they are totally brilliant!). I can't tell you how many times I was invited to dinner or to other events at my professors' houses. You will get to know their families, they will bring their kids to your soccer games, and they will bake cookies and bring them to class. Wonderful.
