Clark is a great school. I'm a science major, which makes it difficult at times because much of the school is more dedicated to liberal arts. But this provides a lot of interesting classes that you can take as perspectives.

The school is really helpful and there's a lot of support available to the students. There's easily accessible health care, therapy services, and academic advice. Even the deans are really approachable and willing to make appointments to discuss any problems you're having. All of my professors have been friendly and care to make sure you do well. They all have office hours and are happy to have students stop by and discuss any problems they're having or just talk about a subject more.

The school treats student problems seriously and is very productive about making sure they have excellent professors. My class had an issue with a first year professor last year and it immediately got resolved with the school and the professor no longer teaches there.

The social scene may not be as large as other schools (no fraternities!) but it benefits from how friendly everyone in the school is. There's drinking and drug use, but I participate in neither and have never felt pressured or out of place. Party scenes at other schools are often exclusive and hard to be a part of but parties are very welcoming at Clark. There's also a lot of school clubs and events going on so it's easy to keep busy.

The area around Clark is definitely a poorer section of the city. Clark puts in a lot of effort to work with the community and try to help it, unlike other schools in Worcester that just put up really tall fences. This is really great for education majors who get a lot of opportunities to work with the high schools in the area. There's also a lot of volunteer opportunities. There isn't a huge night life or things to do in the Worcester, but it is quirky and a really interesting city if you get into it.

Overall, I'd describe Clark as intelligent but easy going. It's a very relaxed environment.
