Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Academics- The academics are respectable. Some classes are harder than others, for example my political science 101 class takes a lot of effort and work as well as my English and Arabic class. Classes such as Stats are a complete joke, i have an A in the class but dont go to class for weeks at a time. I would highly recommend not taking University 101, it is complete busy work and a waste of time. Most of my teachers are great! There is one in particular that is quite bad but i would rate my academic experience here well.

Social Life- YOU NEED TO GET INVOLVED. This is not a campus where you can just sit back and have a good time. The first month I was pretty miserable because I was not involved in anything and there was nothing for me to do on the weekend but sit in my dorm. In September I started pledging a business fraternity and met so many new friends that I never have to worry about the weekend anymore, in fact now the problem is going out to much! I know many people here that have not gotten involved with anything and it seems like they are always in the dorm. Parties here are fun but you definitely need to be well connected or meet upperclassmen because parties here are exclusive. Greek life is very exclusive, if you are a guy and your not in the specific frat you cant go to their party. So if you are a guy and are not in a frat please join something. 5 Points is fun but you need a fake ID.

People-I have made amazing friends here. The thing is though, the friends that I have are not the norm. Many people here are straight southern, ignorant, closeminded, and straight out rude if you do not fit into their stereotype. Many of my friends are from the North but i hav made some great friends in South Carolina, it is possible to find incredible people but you may have to put some effort in it, which is another reason why you should get involved. However, if you are a southern hick or just wear southern tide with croakies then you will fit in fine.

Campus- The campus is so nice!! I love the campus and most of my classes are very close to my dorm, the farthest one is a 7 minute walk.

Meal Plan- It straight up SUCKS. you end up having to pay a difference at pretty much every meal because everything you get goes over. Trying to eat healthy? well good luck because most of the food is awful for you and if you do try to buy healthy food it is very expensive and you end up paying a few more dollars for it because it goes over your meal plan amount. The amount of money I pay to go here should allow me not to have to pay an extra $2 for a grilled chicken sandwhich or salad. And wtf you hve to pay 25 cents for a glass of water. such a joke.
