Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I am prior a Veteran of the Air Force and was stationed overseas. While there I learned the importance of a college degree. I took classes at University of Maryland on the base and found those classes to be challenging, but no more than Columbia Southern. I also took classes at American Military University (AMU) and found those classes to equal the ones here at Columbia Southern. AMU forces people to take classes that really aren't necessary. I've been in the Finance career field for 14 years and I can't understand why I need to take Algebra 1 or 2. You don't need Algebra to figure out someone is broke! That's the main reason I chose Columbia Southern; they didn't make me take unnecessary classes. I now have a Bachelors degree and making more money. I work for the Department of the Army as an Accountant and was praised majorly for getting my degree. I qualify for many jobs that were out of reach. For me it was the amount of respect I got for getting the degree that surprised me. The Veteran Affairs (VA), and the G.I. Bill pay for this 100%. I went to school for free! the Department of Defense does not pay for worthless degrees. It's not Harvard or Yale, but it will help open doors for you. If you work for the government and claim you have higher education it is verified by the Department of Education. Columbia Southern is recognized by them. That's good enough for me. Look at it:
