Hey, so I'm thinking about going to FSU next year (class of 2016!) with a double major in elementary education and psychology. A lot of people here are complaining that the weekends are boring and there's nothing to do. While I want a campus that has stuff going on, my idea of fun is not partying all weekend long. What do you think about social life on campus? Is it really that dull or is this just people complaining because drinking isn't allowed? |

Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Framingham State College was a great decision for me. I'm an English major with a minor in Secondary Education, & FSC has the best teaching program around. I went to an academically prestigious high school in New Hampshire, and was surprised to see how challenging my courses were here. I'm getting a great education for my tuition, and am confident that I will have a job after graduation. My professors are nice, my advisor is great. Of course, you'll always get that jerk teacher every once in a while, but that's part of life. Here, it's best to know your goals and objectives before diving in to classes, otherwise the process can seem confusing. Campus Police IS a real police force, they are Framingham Police Officers, so they take their jobs seriously. The campus is dry and strict about security, but in a city, that's necessary. I actually like the fact that the school is so secure, I transferred here from one that was very lax with security and found myself in scary situations there because of it. You need to work hard in order to get the grades you want here. If you don't care about academics, then the professors can't do much for you. A lot of people blame their failure here on the school, but I'm proof that hard work and a positive attitude makes the FSC experience a great one.
