Major: Perfomance Arts (This Major's Salary over time)
Most of the reviews I have read on here are very negative towards Pace. Now I have not been here long but I really like what I have experienced so far.

As far as administration goes: Nothing is simply handed to you on a silver platter. If you need help or information then you have to go and find it. If they don't give you what you are looking for then tell them. So they can direct you to someone who can help you with your more specific needs. Can be frustrating but if you want something, work for it don't expect it.

My major: Directing. I love my major and so far the teachers in my dept have been pretty great. Obviously in a performing arts major you are going to run into students who think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. avoid them. you don't have to be friends all through college with the people you meet in the first month or two. you can figure out who you like and trust and who you don't. there are some genuine people involved in theater I Swear! you just have to search a little and ignore the divas.

What can I even say about the location??? New York City! Who wouldn't want to experience college and this city in one? Everything is at your fingertips as long as you know what train to jump on and are ready for the ride. If you do come, take advantage of everything there is to do and see here. Not just bars, parties and clubs but Everything else there is here.

The students outside of the theater major that I have met so far are really great. they obviously know everyone in their major and you in yours but make friends outside your major. It will benefit to talk to someone who has no idea about your major and its "drama."

I dorm at John St. It is very clean and a great place to live. Kitchens in the lounges, your own fridge, micro and bath. free gym in the basement. not free laundry but you can't ask for everything. If anything make friends with someone that lives in Maria's Towers and do your laundry there for free. There is a lot of talk about rodents and bed bugs. It is NYC people. when you have that many buildings, people, subways, sewers and everything there are gonna be some things that come with it. Yes you expect your school to keep up immaculate living conditions but it happens. as long as you are clean in your living space then you should be just fine and not have to worry.

This is long and bless your heart for reading it but all in all Pace isn't too bad. If you know what you want then go get it. No one is going to just give you anything. Work for what you want, ask all the questions you want and take chances!

Hope this was helpful!
