I attended Lehman College straight out of high school due to lack of finances. If you're looking for the "college experience" or to broaden your horizons as a person, this college ain't for you. It's a good mix of adult-learners and high schools students. Classes are very cut-and-dry and to-the-point. Do your work, do well on your tests, go home. The teachers are very bland and most of them teach straight out of a textbook. Classroom debates or deep discussions rarely occurred.

The campus is quite pretty for The Bronx. Lots of trees, grass, and wild birds that fly in once in a while. The facilities(library, computer room, gym, cafeteria, etc.) are not state-of-the-art but they're good enough to get work done in, no complaints here. Tuition is also very cheap. The only out-of-pockets costs I had were transportation, food, and books.

After 2 years of going to this school, it dawned on me that this school isn't going to help me get anywhere. The teachers have no connections/networks and the school does very little in providing opportunities for quality internships. I eventually ended up joining the military(Air Force) and haven't looked back since.

All in all, if you find yourself in this school, use it as a stepping stone to get an easy 4.0 GPA and transfer somewhere better. If you enjoy mediocrity, this school is for you.
