Wow. Wright State University. I at first went here for their film program which is the "best in the midwest" In their sad little heads it definitely is the best. I left the program after my first year out of fear of not getting a job and loss of interest on my part. At the end of my first year I left the dorms in which I had made some friends but not many that stuck around WSU or stayed in contact. The social life here doesn't exist, it just doesn't. I am now International Studies. The program overall is good and a decent challenge. The program chair knows what she is doing and is helpful. The overall problem at WSU is not so much passing the classes with ease but navigating the bureaucratic nightmare that is this university. Every University is bad but this is REALLY bad. I have taken classes at three schools now and this one easily takes the cake. They will give you the run-a-round until you just curl up and die. For example: when I was a sophomore here they switched on-line enrollment systems. The new system had some bugs in it. It wasn't until the end of the year that phantom classes began popping up on my transcript. The new system got it's codes mixed up and signed me up for random classes, which I didn't see on my schedule, until I failed them. Enraged I went to the registrar where they acknowledged that it was a problem and several dozen students had been effected. They suggested I GO BACK and get a hold of my past professors and professors I HAD NOT TAKEN to confirm I had or had not taken the class and what my grade was. I tried this but WSU professors are notorious for not returning e-mails. Needless to say these failing grades destroyed my GPA and I ended up losing my financial aid. All this happened while different departments pushed the buck to the next department. This school is the worst and I hope you can see why I hate it. I will graduate this fall and never ever ever look back.
