Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
I notice many students criticizing UT for being too big and too impersonal. But here's another way too look at it: the real world is a big and impersonal place where most general people don't care about you until you can prove yourself to them. Consider UT training for the real world.I was quiet and shy through most of high school. Aside from what I learned in the classroom I also learned how to be assertive, organized and the importance of networking and learning from peers as well as instructors.Getting plugged in here as a transfer student was probably harder that starting as a freshman but I managed. Obviously UT is not for everyone but you also have to ask yourself is it worth paying 2 or 3 times as much for an undergrad education becuase that's about what it costs to go to a private university. Good luck, I hope this advice helps someone out there. Hook Em Horns.
