Oakland University has great programs and a lot of opportunities. The opportunities are not handed to you the same way they would be at other schools, but rather you have to search for them and work for them. Many students are commuters, but there is a large on campus community and it is very easy to make friends if you are social and outgoing. Oakland University prepares you for the real world and your experience at the school will be what you make of it. If you want to learn, have fun, and be successful you will have the opportunities to do so and you should take advantage of them. Anyone who complains about the school has not taken advantage of the things the school has to offer.
