SOM Advising Office is the worst place ever. If you ever have a schedule problem, don't expect the advisors to help you. I dropped a class by accident to switch to a different section and they closed off registration to the course. Went to the advising office and was told to fill out a petition form, which they denied my request and stuck me in a section with a horrible professor. When I asked to switch to a different section, I was told that all other classes are full (but I checked online and all of them had spots available). The lady then told me that "students aren't suppose to take classes whenever they feel like it" (yet they are willing to make any changes for the "scholar" students, talk about unfair treatment). So my conclusion about SOM is that they don't really care about enough about you enough to even help you.
