I seriously hate Temple. When I visited, it seemed great, there were lots of students out and about and it looked like a great, fun place to be. However, once arriving, it didn't turn out so well for me. It's extremely hard to meet people because everyone is so cliquey. Everyone hangs out with friends from high school and is completely close-minded to meeting new people. I guess this is a good thing for me so I have time to focus on my studies, but I definitely don't expect to meet life-long friends here, and I'm miserable most of the time. If you want a personal college experience, go to a smaller school, not Temple.

By the standards of California, Temple U. is a large community college…you're miserable because most of the students show up with their HS friends, it's not like that elsewhere. Philadelphia has that problem because there are so many HS dropouts; the people who survive high school know each other and most of them wind up going to Temple. It's a crappy system.
