If you are thinking about attending this school, I am here to make you think twice. Avoid this school at ALL costs. Not only is the education over priced but you are basically paying for community college education with a few dorms. The sad part is the dorms stink as well. The buildings haven't been renovated since they were built back in like the 1800s or something. They let ANYONE, yes, ANYONE in. It's no surprise there are so many hoodrats and ghetto kids in the dorms now.

Crime is rampant. ARMED ROBBERS, yes, ARMED ROBBERS even got into one of the freshmen dorms sometime last year and another time, a girl was raped and murdered. Every two days, yes, EVERY two days, you will get at least one or two notifications from the police about one crime or the other that occurred on campus or in the surrounding Ypsilanti area.

So if you value your life, you would do well to go to next door Michigan in Ann Arbor. The social life here is DEAD. Almost 80 or 85% of the school is commuter and on the weekends 95% of the residents leave for home which leaves for a ghost town.

Oh, well, there's downtown Ypsi, you say. Guess what? It's dead as well. Absolutely NOTHING to do there except for braiding stores, African stores and some random stores selling junk no one cares about.

Finally, the education. If you want to be taken seriously in the job market, again, avoid this place. Not only is Eastern a red flag to many employers but the education is an absolute joke. Professors are so full of themselves. Half of the class they spend talking about themselves or what "funny" thing their cat did over the weekend. The real truth is that Eastern only cares about the money and set a lot of youth up for pure failure.

Please, you have many more choices. Western, Central, Oakland, MSU, UofM etc. Don't make a choice you WILL REGRET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!
