As a local, I hated the fact that I had to stay in Hawaii for college for financial reasons. However, my college experience at Chaminade has improved and I do not regret doing my undergraduate studies here. The first year which deals mainly with the liberal/general ed classes are boring at first but once that is over, the challenging courses begin and they are not bad at all. The Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice programs are amazing and the faculty are very helpful in preparing their students for the future. If you are looking for a school with a heavy social life, I would not suggest coming here. Chaminade is not known as a party school and it's fine if you're just here for the academics.
