| Bright | The campus and the enrollment here is small. Therefore, it is very difficult to break rules and not get caught. The close social atmosphere here keeps honest people honest most of the time. Also, this campus is in the middle of residential and commercial areas as well, so its location is highly favorable. | Education Quality: A+, Scholastic Success: A | | | |

| Super Brilliant | CUH is a Marianist school looking to provide an excellent education to students from all over the globe. It is located on the beautiful isle of Oahu in the Hawaiian archipelago. Nestled on the slopes of Saint Louis heights, it provides a beautiful view on the world renowned Natural landmark Diamond Head, tourist haven Waikiki, and Honolulu's Downtown. The campus is small but it requires a good amount of physical exercise to get around. Nevertheless the personal relationships between students and professors help tremendously with academics and off campus opportunities to learn and grow. The dormitories are not for everyone, but they provide a good experience of community and responsibilty. The University's location provides easy access to public transportation, supermarkets, beaches, and beautiful hikes up on the Ko'olau ridges. The cost of living in "Paradise" can be expensive but everything comes at a price. I believe it's a fair trade-of coming from a place with season's and receiving nearly immaculate sunshine on a daily basis. Living on an island can also be a drastic experience and may be followed by "Island Fever", but once you settle and learn to appreciate the beautiful environment there won't be all too many reasons for somebody to want to leave. Chaminade is a small school that can provide you with opportunies for the future, their classes aren't too challenging which enables you to enjoy the beach more often than not, and it's a great place to learn about different cultures and meet new people from all over the world. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Useful Schoolwork: D+ | | | |

| Quite Bright | I'm a second year student from Kauai getting a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. I looked to Chaminade for my college experience because it is a small campus with small class sizes. Coming from a small island this felt like home, but also gave me the experience to adverture out and try new things Kauai couldnt offer me. I liked the Psychology and Criminal Justice Programs at Chaminade because most of the teachers are teaching not just by the book, but with hands on experience and prior knowledge of the fields. This is valuble because when leaving my professors knowledge will help me with my furture career. My teachers have been extremely helpful in class and easy to get a hold of outside of class. They really take an interest in you as a person and not a number and since the class sizes are small they notice when you are gone. This is how they take an interest in you and care about you individually. My advisor has helped me a great deal because he has made my scheldual so i am able to finish in 3 years rather than 4.I feel that Chaminade has great student, teachers and staff which has made my expereince here enjoyable. As for dorming, i did dorm for my first year, but then moved off campus with my boyfriend this year. I will have to say dorming my first year was a wonderful expereince because i got to meet everyone in my class, which were faces i then saw in majority of my classes making studying really easy. I had many people to ask for help with assignments if i didnt understand and always had friends to help out with exams. Now since i am off campus i have to figure out other ways to do things academically because those friends arent there at my fingertips. Overall, Chaminade has given me everything i was looking for in a college expereince. I am away from home, but still close enough to see my family. I am able to focus on school, have a on campus job, and able to graduate in 3 years. I would definately recommend this school to other students because if you are serious about your future and actually have goals and dreams, Chaminade has all the components to make it come true if you take advantage of it. | Education Quality: A+, Campus Maintenance: B | | | |

| Quite Bright | CUH is a small campus with good vibes. When one is considering coming to CUH they must know that yes prices are high but that?s the cost of living in paradise. Hawaii from the get go is not a cheap place to live, thus eating and attending outings reflects the cost of living here. While at CUH for three years I have come to know my professor on a personal level rather than a strict business level. The school has given me numerous opportunities to travel, become involved with the community and has also offered much internship to me. While one could see how UH Manoa could offer more classes students from out of state must look into the financial situation of Hawaii before choosing to attend that university. Currently UH has been cutting classes, professors have been cut, and basically because Hawaii has no money the university is suffering the most. Many friends that have attended there wish they could have gone to CUH instead. The reason I picked CUH is because it has smaller class sizes which are taught but real professors, it is a private university so one does not have to worry if the school will get funding or not, and last they offered a lot of financial aid to attend. CUH is the place to be if you are looking to be a person with a name rather than a number. I have never regretted my decision to attend this university. With the diverse student body population it is a great experience and a great way to meet people from all around the world. CUH is not a place where one can easily slack on coming to class, because the classes are small professor tend to notice when you are not there, but that?s a good thing. Over all I will be graduating from CUH in a year with a double degree in History and Behavioral Science and hope that many students really consider this university while making their college choices. It has been a great experience for me and I am sure you will have a great one as well. Just remember it?s not the school that makes it bad it?s what the person does while here that makes or breaks their opinion of the University. | Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Social Life: C+ | | | |
