Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
The Biology department at the Down town New York City campus lacks a cohesive structure. There is no student support system and the department do not proviode students with any acess to resources. The university assigns a currently staffed professor to advise students during registration. When you meet up with your advise they are not aware of your program requirements. The departement also reduced the rotation of certain courses that were initally offered in both the Fall and Spring Semesters. There courses have been reduced to being a once a year course, either fall or spring only courses. Due to this many students do not graduate in 4 years. The Biology departments needs to improve. Not one Professor or advisor has inquired about what I would like to do with my degree and when you have queations about grad/ professional programs no one has any useful information. The Professors are just clueless and self aborbed in their own reseach . Please save you time, energy, money and go to a CUNY school. I would have done so but Pace has made it so hard to transfre and the fear of loosing credits for some of my course work has prevented me to doing so. I rue all my time and energy that pace has wasted. Before coming to pace to be any science major please question how many students haved changed their majors and why?
