This person seems to be a waste to spend the money on to pay for her education. Another drone follower obviously no leadership qualities in this individual. |

Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a freshman here at Hollins, but I am transferring to a different university next semester. Before coming to Hollins, you really need to visit the campus. I did not, and if I had my decision upon coming here may have been different. If you are like me, meaning you are preppy and like to wear pearl earrings, there is very little like us here. Go to Sweet Briar instead if you want an all girls school in this area, it is much prettier and preppier. This is for your own good. Most of the girls here like to wear tails or cargo pants. They are just trashy, or lesbian. Of course there are some great people who are preppy. These are mostly the horseback riders. They are usually found in riding pants and their black riding jackets. Though, if you are not someone who rides, you will need to catch up on the sport because that is one of their favorite topics. The city of Roanoke is very boring. Mostly it is all closed down, but there are a few good places to eat such as Fork in the City, Metro, Graces, Hollywoods (located right next to campus), and a few others. There is an amazing cupcake store and a good doughnut place as well. The mall has your basic JCPenny, Belk, and Macy's (but dont get to excited, it sucks). The best places to shop in Valley-View Mall would be Anne Taylor Loft, Gap, and thats about it. Now, the classes are really amazing. The teachers are wonderful. Of course there are a few exceptions to this, but overall I have been very pleased with the educational aspects of the University, besides the fact that they do not offer my major. If you do come here, take a creative writing class, even if you are not a writer, you will enjoy. It is a lot of fun. If you are someone who likes to party then you are completely out of luck. Boys rarely come (even though it says that they do on the website) and there is practically nothing to do on campus. A party happens maybe once a month (if that). So if you want to have fun you have to drive 40 min to an hour to V-Tech or W&L, or 2 hours to UVA or HSC (worth the drive because the boys are preppier. HSC is the frattiest campus in the country). If you like to party bring a car for all the driving. I hope that this has helped you in your decision. If you do decide to come here, just remember that transferring is always an option. Oh, and choose Tinker for your dorm, Randy is nasty and moldy and doesn't have AC.
