If you get a chance to go to UNH...do it.  I just finished up my freshman year and I'm already counting down the days until I can go back.  There's a wide variety of people here so if you look around a little you'll find a group of kids just like you.  The food's great and there's plenty to keep you busy.  The weekends are awesome and they don't revolve around frat life unless you want it to.  Once you find other parties to go to you'll spend less and less time at the frats (they're still a good time).  The key is to just be social and try to meet as many people as you can during your first week.  Don't worry everyone else is trying to meet new people too.  If you don't find parties right away don't stress, you will.  Enjoy the nights your stuck in your room drinking with your friends, those will be some of your favorite nights anyways.  Whether or not the school aspect is challenging is up to you.  If your an Engineer or any other type of science major you'll be challenged.  The Business school is okay, not to challenging though.  The undecided/psych/English/etc do nothing, but also have the option to get hammered during the week (usually along with the Business school) while the few of us engineers who actually do something other than school dream about Thursday night as we study.  Basically you can come here for the school, the partying, the doing absolutely nothing while getting high, or all of the above.  This school can be anything that you want it to be, it's all about what YOU want out of it.
