Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Being a Biology major, I was expecting to have fieldwork in more than 2 classes. I was extremely disappointed on this front. There are only 1 or 2 professors that go through the trouble of having real field trips. This is not entirely the fault of the faculty, as the administration makes it EXTREMELY difficult for them to take students off campus.

One of biggest problems I have with this school is the tuition hikes (4 in the last year) and the way they choose to spend our money. Be prepared to pay a $250 athletics fee each semester if you have a full course load. This will give you access to PARTS of the gym, but not all. The basketball court, most of the pool, and the tennis courts they are building with OUR tuition money are all off limits to everyone except athletics students. A new parking deck was just built. We all thought it was going to be the solution to our overcrowded parking lots, until we found out that it would be only for grad students and teachers. Not for free, mind, they have to pay an additional $300 to use it. It was planned very poorly, with construction starting in the middle of a semester. The construction reduced our already pathetic parking.

That leads me to what is possibly the most inconvenient part of attending this school. Parking was horrible, even before the construction. Be prepared to drive around looking for parking for at least 10-15 minutes. I've had to miss classes in the past because there were literally NO spots left on campus. Maybe not a big deal if you live on campus (which I would recommend against, the dorms are noisy and overpriced, but it's a huge pain if you live in the city. The campus is on an island, so you can't exactly park somewhere else and walk.

Overall, I feel that this has been a tremendous waste of money. If I were just going out and getting a job after this it would be fine. However, I plan on getting a graduate degree (elsewhere, of course!) and I don't feel like this school has prepared me for it.
