I love CSU Chico, but you defiantly get out of it what you put into it. There are negative parts of the school- it is a CSU, the buildings arent in the best shape, the library is pretty old. Classes are difficult to schedule, and there are a number of them that are just busy classes. You dont learn anything, the teacher doesn't have any motivation, and your just killing unit points. On the opposite side though, for every easy class Ive had, Ive will have five that are intensely interesting and I feel will help me in my future career. Im mostly taking GE classes too- so that says alot. The faculty is friendly, and more than willing to help with any problem you may have. I have yet to have a teacher who is not willing to help me in every way they can to help me get the best grade I can on an assignment or the class. The campus/ town is absolutely beautiful. Summer is really hot, and winter is really cold. Warning you,lol. There is a huge party scene here, most people go out and you see people stumbling home-hell on Wednesday nights. But if thats not the type of thing your into there are more than enough things to do sober-and people are more than accepting of people of all types.I'll be honest there are alot of meat head type of jocks at Chico, but there not that big of bother, it is a really accepting community. Because it is such a small town it feels a lot safer than it probably should. People do get tired of it because it is so small- coming from a city, this has happened for me too, but getting out on the weekends and expanding from campus every once in a while helps to prevent CHICO OVERLOAD. Its summer right now, and everyone I know is counting down the days until we are back in town. I love Chico, I recommend it to everyone- I do to you too. If you do, take advantage of EVERYTHING Chico has to offer. Not just the drinking and partying- Chico has so much!
